A special "Divine Liturgy" page was also developed which highlighted activities of St. Andrew Chapel located at Sheptytsky Institute.Pastoral Ministry (Archive)
Historical Background
As early as 1993, an Eparchial Youth Ministry office was located in the Ukrainian Catholic Religious Education Centre. In 2001, a joint initiative with the Metropolitan Sheptytsky Society of Saskatchewan, the Ukrainian Catholic Episcopal Corporation and St Thomas More College, established a Campus Ministry position which would represent Ukrainian Catholics on the U of S campus ministry team as well as participate in residence programming. In 2002 the Eparchial youth coordinator position was combined with the Campus Ministry position and, is still located at Sheptytsky Institute.
This ministry aims to be a pastoral presence of the Ukrainian Catholic Church on campus and to minister to the needs of the post-secondary students, faculty and staff in Saskatoon. Ukrainian Catholic Campus Ministry seeks to provide an environment that nurtures spiritual, moral, liturgical and sacramental development according the tradition of the Ukrainian Catholic Church. We offer opportunities for worship, fellowship, outreach and education geared towards helping students reach their full potential.
