Pastoral Ministry - Our Mission
This ministry aims to be a pastoral presence of the Ukrainian Catholic Church on campus and to minister to the needs of the post-secondary students, faculty and staff in Saskatoon. Ukrainian Catholic Campus Ministry seeks to provide an environment that nurtures spiritual, moral, liturgical and sacramental development according the tradition of the Ukrainian Catholic Church. We offer opportunities for worship, fellowship, outreach and education geared towards helping students reach their full potential.
Historical Background
An Eparchial Youth Ministry office was located in the Ukrainian Catholic Religious Education Centre at Sheptytsky Institute as early as 1993. In 2001, a joint initiative with the Metropolitan Sheptytsky Society of Saskatchewan, the Ukrainian Catholic Episcopal Corporation and St Thomas More College, established a Campus Ministry position which would represent Ukrainian Catholics on the U of S campus ministry team as well as participate in residence programming. In 2002 the Eparchial youth coordinator position was combined with the Campus Ministry position and, is still located at Sheptytsky Institute.

Current Contact Information
Our efforts for the youth of our Eparchy are only as effective as our ability to communicate!
- Please send names and contact information for anyone in your parish/pastoral district who is working in any capacity with your young people who are Grade 7 or older. All of us are more effective than one of us...but we are limited if we don’t know who “us” is.
Contact Laurie Friesen at ministry@sheps.ca for information about any of the above notices.
