2005-2006 • 2nd term various
A steak BBQ was held on the last day of classes. Then, it was time to hit the books for the 2nd term finals, then move on with summer plans or full-time employment following convocation. Good luck grads!

Sheps friend Nissa once again volunteered her time to offer instruction on the art of writing Pysanky. Wax resist batik on a raw egg.
Some Pysanky were later used to decorate the Easter Paska foods.
January 2006 • Ukrainian Christmas celebrations
Once again, Sheps residents were graciously welcomed into the homes of Sheptytsky Institute friends with their musical talents. For some it was their first time experience this tradition of carolling! On January 15, we observed the feast of Theophany with a Solemn Water Blessing in the chapel, followed by a traditional Ukrainian Christmas eve meal Our didukh, which represents our fore-fathers, graced our presence over this special time.
December 5 • pre-Christmas party
This was the last resident event planned for before the start of exams and Christmas break. Krista and Angie prepared a special meal of turkey and ham, there were little presents for everyone, games and treats. Gingerbread house decorating followed.
October 31 • Trick or treat
Pumpkins: before & after. And the winner is 'Ray' - the pumpkin on the far right.
Thanks to the visiting cooks (shown on the far right) who prepared meals for the day including: Roast beast stew, pork beast chops, maggot pilaf, mixed bugs, potty jello, grasshopper guts and gummy cobras.
September 8 • Orientation welcome supper.
Fr. Andre opened our supper with a special candle-lighting prayer. Introductions followed. As well as a special round of happy birthday for Jill! Once the tables were cleared it wasn't long before a very serious game began.

Society of Saskatchewan Annual Board meeting. Josh and Ashley were
recipients. |

Diener from New Community Credit Union gave an intro to student and internet
banking and an opportunity for residents to received $100 at Christmas time. |
 U
of S and Sheps Resident Assistants and Resident Life Coordinators were
treated to a supper at Sheps during their week long training course held
just prior to residence move-in. |
