2006-2007 • 2nd term various

A steak BBQ was held on the last day of classes - April 5. Then, it was time to hit the books for the 2nd term finals, then move on with summer plans or full-time employment following convocation. Good luck grads!

January 2007 • Ukrainian Christmas celebrations

On January 21 we observed the feast of Theophany with Solemn Water Blessing in the Chapel, followed by traditional Ukrainian Christmas eve supper. Our didukh, which represents our fore-fathers, graced our presence over this special time.

Sheps residents were graciously welcomed into the homes of Sheptytsky Institute friends with their caroling skills. For some it was their first experience with this tradition of caroling! January 10 excursion was cancelled because of the blizzard.

December 6 • pre-Christmas party

The pre-Christmas celebration - just prior to the start of exams and Christmas break. Krista and Angie prepared a special Christmas turkey dinner, there were little presents for everyone, games and treats. Gingerbread house decorating followed.

October 31 • Trick or treat

September 5 • Orientation welcome supper.

Fr. Andre opened our supper with a special candle-lighting prayer. Introductions of residents and staff followed. All residents received an 'orientation package which contained various relevant information regarding living in a University residence and, specifically, Sheptytsky Institute.
